ABOUT THE GAME

Perimeter - Legate Edition is a real-time strategy game that breaks away from traditional base-building rules. Instead of walls and units alone, the battlefield itself becomes your main weapon. You command the Exodus civilization, shaping land through terraforming while managing energy, defense, and expansion. Every decision affects the terrain, and every change to the terrain affects combat.

Victory is not about overwhelming armies early. It is about control. You must secure energy fields, build stable perimeters, and protect your core from constant threats. The game rewards patience, planning, and adaptability, especially as maps evolve and pressure increases.

How to Play

You begin each mission with a central base that must be protected at all costs. Your goal is to expand outward, claim energy zones, and construct defensive structures that form a stable perimeter. Terraforming allows you to raise or lower land to either protect your base or cut off enemy advances.

Enemies attack from multiple directions, often targeting weak terrain rather than units. As the game progresses, attacks become heavier and less predictable. Managing energy flow while maintaining defensive integrity is the key challenge throughout every scenario.

Tips & Strategies

Focus on stabilizing your first perimeter before expanding aggressively. Weak borders invite early collapse.
Terraform gradually. Extreme terrain changes drain energy faster than most players expect.
Secure energy zones in clusters rather than spreading thin across the map.
Reinforce corners of your perimeter. Enemies often exploit diagonal terrain gaps.
Rebuild damaged terrain immediately. Ignoring small breaches leads to chain failures.

The biggest mistake most players make is expanding too quickly without respecting energy balance. Early success can feel deceptive. You may control more land, but if your energy income cannot support terrain upkeep, your defenses slowly decay. This is usually when enemies break through.

What separates average players from good players is restraint. Strong players wait until their perimeter is stable under pressure before pushing outward. They treat terraforming as a defensive tool first, not an expansion shortcut. Another misunderstood aspect is terrain repair. Many players focus on units during attacks, but repairing land mid-assault often prevents far more damage than fighting head-on.
